I found a stray and I can’t keep it. Can I bring it to you?

No, we are not currently accepting public drop offs due to our contract with the Sheriff’s Department. We are catering to their more exigent cases such as cruelty, neglect, or animals posing a risk to public safety. If you have an email address we would be glad to send you a packet of resources to help find placement.

I need to surrender my animal. What’s the process?

We’re currently not accepting owner surrenders. If you have an email address we would be glad to send you a packet of resource to help find placement for your pet. These resources are also no kill options.

There’s an injured/aggressive/
sick animal that’s been hanging around my house/neighborhood. Can you pick up?

No, we are unable to go out to pick up animals. However, you may call the non-emergency line for the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department (501-328-5906) and explain the circumstances. They will send a deputy out to assess the situation and if they determine our assistance is needed they will contact us. 

Any calls in Greenbrier should be directed to Greenbrier’s non-emergency phone number (501-679-3105).

(Insert any animal complaint) – NOT related to strays. Neighbor’s pet being a nuisance, suspicion of abuse/neglect, etc.

What do adoptions include?

- Cat/Kitten Adoption Fee: $50
- Dog/Puppy Adoption Fee: $70
- Microchip (with free registration)
- Spay/Neuter (if age-appropriate)
- Deworming
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Puppies/Kittens not old enough to be fixed will be scheduled for their procedure at the shelter, or given a voucher to cover the cost at Companion Spay and Neuter Clinic

I want to volunteer!/My child needs volunteer hours. How can I/they volunteer? Is there an age limit?

Absolutely! We email interested volunteers when our next class is scheduled. Once you’ve attended the class you’ll be able to volunteer when your schedule allows.

Anyone who can drive themself is able to volunteer. If they can’t drive by themselves then a parent/guardian must take the class and be present while their child volunteers.

Right now, we are focusing on emergency cases only, in coordination with the Faulkner County Sheriff's Department.

These include:
- Animals endangering people or other animals
- Injured or in medical distress
- Cases involving cruelty or neglect

To report an animal complaint:

- A deputy/officer will be dispatched to assess the situation and take the appropriate steps.
